PA-M300 Series 2 Monoblock Amplifier
- Power
- The foundation of any great amplifier is the power supply. The power supply must provide abundant quantities of clean power. It must be able to transition from delivering the modest
power required in a quiet passage to the thunder of a crescendo instantaneously and with poise. This requires a very large copper, toroidal transformer to provide the current and large
reservoir capacitors to store extra power for transients. The transformer must also be heavily shielded to avoid polluting the music signal with noise.
-
- These parts are very expensive and as a result many manufacturers try to save money by substituting cheaper alternatives. However, an excellent amplifier cannot be built upon a marginal power supply.
-
- That is why the PA-M300 features a 38 lb ultra-low-noise toroidal transformer and generous reservoir capacitance.
