    PA-M300 Series 2 Monoblock Amplifier

  • Design
  • An amplifier cannot sound musical without getting the high frequencies right. Much of the sonic signature of a stradivarius violin or a stratacaster guitar comes from high frequency harmonics. If these high frequency harmonics are dull, harsh or diminutive, the music will be uninvolving and fatiguing. The difference between a high frequency and a low frequency is speed. The upper end of human hearing is around 20 Khz or 20,000 cycles per second compared to the lower end which is about 20 cycles per second.
  •
  • Many of the output devices used in high power audio amplifiers are simply too slow to faithfully reproduce the subtle musical beauty of a modern recording. That is why we only use Lateral MOSFET output devices. Lateral MOSFETs are the only output devices designed for audio.
  •
  • Lateral MOSFETs are also much less fussy about small differences in operating temperature and bias current. This means that they will sound their best under a wide range of operating conditions.
